He became homeless at an early age, but he overcame that got saved and is now working in a homeless ministry for a church. He also, plays the blues and in some of his stuff he uses a cigar box guitar. I just picked up his new Cd called Cardboard Box. If you like blues then you will love this Cd. It was an instant favorite for me. If interested here is the website and you can also check him out on itunes. http://grrrrecords.com/fr_cardboardbox.cfmCrazyGluehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10461468061451403118noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4195552131597496157.post-22329384150090092952011-08-19T04:40:00.000-07:002011-08-19T04:40:39.936-07:00No Athiests in Hell I decided to put the fun aside for today and write about something that is really giving my heart a ton of grief. When i look around at our country, our "Christian Nation," i get very depressed. We have fallen so far from what we used to be. We are no longer the beacon of hope to a dark world, we ourselves are just as dark. We as a nation have a form of godliness, but we deny the power thereof, as the Word puts it. Athiesm is on an all time high, while any mention of Jesus Christ on a public venue is censored. Christians, sadly, have chosen to just go with the flow while abandoning the radical way Jesus commanded us to live. I'm just as guilty as anyone. Its much easier just to go on with life and not worry about trying to turn the tide, but that isn't what we are called to do. Why should we care? Not only should we care because that's what we are commanded to do, but the fact that hell is real and people go there every single day. We in America have lost that knowledge. We have been lulled to sleep with everyone goes to heaven as long as they don't murder people. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Its time we get back to the Bible and see what it has to say. It doesn't matter what i believe or what you believe about an issue, its what does God think. God's opinion is all that matters one second after you take your last breath. Believe me all the former athiest in hell with they had one more second on this earth because now they are hopeless. Apart from the smell and the 20 mile rides to the grocery store its a pretty nice place to live. The other day something pretty unexpected happened. Amanda busts in the door at like six in the morning and she is freaking out. I thought by her reaction that someone was breaking in or something like that, so i was about to grab my gun. She informed me there was a opossum on the porch. I was like seriously, you wake me up for that. She begins calling everyone she knows and telling them about the beast that is laying on our porch. After much debate on the phone, while i try to go back to sleep, she concludes the thing has rabies. After seeing that Im not going to be able to get back to sleep until i do something to remove this animal, i finally get up. Opossum's are some of the most ugly animals i think i have ever seen. Nevertheless i grabbed the shovel and proceeded to remove the thing. Finally he woke up from where i laid him and returned to where he came from. Now maybe we can all sleep in peace now.
He like me, has hated every minute of it. When i was there i spent most of the time passing notes back and forth for people. We had assigned seats so me and jay were stuck between two love birds. Many things happened while we were there, such as a rich fat girl who had he butler bring in fresh sushi for lunch. There was another guy with a cheesy fro who couldn't stop playing with his pick comb. By far the best thing was the fact that the teacher said no profanity will be allowed or you will be kicked out. He must have said five curse words in his lecture. Yes what a hypocrite lol.CrazyGluehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10461468061451403118noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4195552131597496157.post-2081099749885242542011-06-09T19:03:00.000-07:002011-06-09T19:03:42.438-07:00Interesting..... I was driving through the country, in what i believe is still considered Goldsboro, and behind this trailer in the middle of a trailer park i see this....

I don't know about you, but i don't believe i want any part of what goes on here. I can see the belt buckles and leather cowboy hats already. Its kind of funny that its a Music hall, snack bar, game room and flea market all in one. A real one stop shop lol.CrazyGluehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10461468061451403118noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4195552131597496157.post-30653884333855392192011-06-09T18:55:00.000-07:002011-06-09T19:05:40.796-07:00Update on Latest Finds Last night around 9 pm I walked across these two species of frogs. I was dreading it and hoping she would forget all about it, but guess what? She didn't. I told her that Im not a redneck and there is no way that will be fun. Nevertheless we loaded up in the car and headed up to the show. It took us about forty-five minutes to get there. Once we arrived, my greatest fears were realized. Lol. Overalls and John Deere as far as the eye could see. Turns out i had more fun than my wife. Go figure, maybe Im more of a redneck than I think.... Anyways here is some pictures for the show.
This is just a few things i have seen or caught. This year has been the year for turtles. Ive probably seen at least twenty in recent days and Ive caught four or five, to take pictures of then release. Here are pictures of a few of them.

I haven't studied turtles enough to know yet.

This little guy is a Spotted Turtle. I do know that for sure. :)

They seem to be pretty popular around here.
Here is a couple bugs i took a picture of. I was just messing around with the camera and got these. First off is a lady bug, very RARE lol.

The last picture is something from the ocean and i have no idea what its called, but it seemed like a good picture. Enjoy.
We tried touching it but it still didn't even flinch. We really have no clue what happened. Maybe the others beat up on it, or it had some king of disease when we got it. Who knows. Anyways there goes thirty bucks...:(
He is eating very well, but has some small problems shedding. As you can see in the picture some of the scales are still attached to his head near the eye. I got most of it off of his head but i was scared i was going to poke his eye out if i tried to get closer. Anyways enjoy.
(To the right of his eye) Im sure it will get better with the right humidity. I got him for $70, i feel like that was a pretty good price.CrazyGluehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10461468061451403118noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4195552131597496157.post-31872454718711602742011-05-30T08:25:00.000-07:002011-06-09T19:07:25.928-07:00HogNose My friend Rick's Hognose snake started laying eggs the other day while i was over there. She laid three eggs, then five eggs, then seven eggs, and last i checked she was up to fourteen eggs. She may have laid more after i left. It was pretty cool to see.
These are the first scorpions i have owned. There pretty cool but seem to only be active at night. They are feeding pretty well on dusted crickets. One of my friends is going to pick me up two more scorpions that are native to Arizona. I cant remember what they are called. I will have pictures posted of them once i receive them. Here is a picture of one of the Emperor Scorpions i got.
I walked back to my car to get a bucket to put the mice in when Rick started yelling my name. I ran over to where he was and i handed him the snake stick. This little guy had crawled into the shed where the mice are kept. He must have been looking for a snack. Anyways i kept him for a little while then i let him go.
His ball python eggs just hatched the other day and out came two albinos and three hets. He looked at me and said here pick out the ones you want and there yours. He game me a male albino and a female het. So in a couple of years i should be producing albinos. Im excited :)
Well its been a long time since i last posted. I have been pretty busy. I have recently picked up a part time job where i clean rodent cages. My pay is free rodents for my snakes so i no longer have to buy them. Plus there live and i no longer have to thaw out dead ones. Ive gotten several new snakes since i last posted and i've also sold quite a few. Lol. Anyways life is pretty good right now.
The tags were from somewhere like California. The door swung open and i could see cowboy boots with spurs hooked to them. A short little man hopped out of the truck and made his way over to us. He was dressed in plaid, a nice leather cowboy hat, and one of those rope ties they wear. All this garb was topped off with a sparkly gold belt buckle the size of a 15 inch rim. He opened his mouth an spoke with a strong country draw, which he probably made up to fit the part of poser cowboy. He said, "Hey Fellas, My name is Bronco Billy and i cut wood for a livin." It was hard to control the laughter, but you don't want to hurt the guys feelings. He needed some directions and then he was on his way. The only thing i wish is that i would have had my camera to get a shot of this guy. :)CrazyGluehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10461468061451403118noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4195552131597496157.post-90516041337510455312011-02-06T13:13:00.000-08:002011-02-06T13:13:50.100-08:00Feeding Time for Reticulated Python and Boa I happened to be at the serpentarium for there feeding time. I tried to get a good video but there was too many people. You can still get what it looks like from the video though. They are feeding the reticulated pythons full grown jack rabbits and the boa they gave a large rat. Enjoy :)
Sadly, i didn't get the chance to hold one of them. :( They also had an anaconda there that they feed a 40 pound pig to. They were feeding him on Sunday though.CrazyGluehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10461468061451403118noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4195552131597496157.post-1490002674886779732011-02-05T18:37:00.000-08:002011-02-05T18:38:02.830-08:00AAHHHH!! The story i am about to tell happened to a friend of mine and i don't think he would mind me sharing it. My friend was at home all alone and was laying in the bed with all the lights off. He was about to go to sleep after he told his wife to be goodnight on the phone. All of a sudden he heard a loud noise and glass shattering all over the place. He immediately thought someone had broken in. He jumped up and grabbed the fireplace poker and crept through the house. He noticed the bathroom door was shut so he tried to open it, but it wouldn't budge. He started yelling out things to the burglar and beat on the door. He managed to get the door cracked open and stuck the fireplace poker inside and began swinging it around. He finally got into the bathroom and a picture had fallen off the wall and it knocked over a porcelain lighthouse which shattered on the floor. The picture had fallen and wedged itself on the door holding it shut. He said he felt really stupid. The owner of the place is addicted to reptiles. He was younger than 13 when he started keeping snakes. At the age of 13 he was bitten by a venomous snake and was placed in the hospital for two weeks. When he was only 15 he keep gaboon vipers and black mambas in his attic. He has been bitten by over 12 venomous snakes and lived. He was bitten by the bushmaster 7 times. Check out his full biography. Click Here
Ive been told that this man has over 15 million in banks not counting assets. He took a friend of mine out to eat at a restaurant and the bill was 120 bucks and he was fine with that. Afterward, he was fussing about the price of clothes at goodwill.
He sent a guy today from Wilmington all the way to Marmac to pick up a few 2x4s rather than going to Lowes and buying them. He probably spent 45 bucks in gas to keep from buying 10 bucks worth of wood. He hired a man and paid him 5 bucks an hour to pull nails out of 10 foot boards rather than go by new wood. It took the guy an entire day to pull out the nails which cost him around 45 bucks for 20 bucks worth of wood. Smart isn't he? He spends his day riding around looking for things like old fishing poles people have left under the docks and such as that. He is also the richest man i have ever known to go dumpster diving. The more i see this man the funnier it is. :)CrazyGluehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10461468061451403118noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4195552131597496157.post-48488263899595378442011-01-31T14:43:00.000-08:002011-02-02T13:45:47.990-08:00Gypsy Genealogy This post is going to be about my family on my moms side. They were, by all accounts, rather strange, living lives like gypsies. My grandfather had six brothers and sisters. They would all work together and live near each other most of their lives. They even moved at the same time. They went from state to state living for a while then moving on. One day while sitting at dinner one of the brothers said, "I think its time to move." So they got up and left all there belongings and even the food they had prepared on the table and moved. You may be thinking I'm making this up, but it is the honest truth. They all ended up in California.
One of the brothers, while living in California, bought a whole room furniture set on credit. He then turned around and sold all the furniture and kept the money. The furniture store man asked him for his money, but he wouldn't pay him. The furniture store man was forced to turn it over to collections. The brother found out that they couldn't do anything as long as you were trying to pay something so he sent the man an envelop with one dollar in it.
They lived like gypsies for years and years. I guess technically they were gypsies. :) But they eventually stopped the living on top of each other and started there own lives so to speak. I will probably post more stories of each of them later on. This was probably one of there houses. LOL
The cabins and buildings are no longer there now due to a hurricane that destroyed everything. We got up early and packed our bags and headed to the ferry that would take us to the island. We went mainly to fish but i don't think either of us even cast the first time. This island had sand dunes that you were actually allowed to play on. It was covered with them. We started out playing hide and go seek and games such as that until we ran up on a raccoon. It was broad daylight and he was moving all around, so thinking it could have rabies we ran. We went out to the beach part and my dad had caught a blow fish. Dont tell animal rights lovers, but we began to play ball with the inflated fish. What im about to tell you is the main reason for this story, I was standing there minding my own business while my friend was throwing seashells toward the ocean. Well just as he threw one the wind caught it and swirled it around and it hit me square in the head. My head started bleeding like crazy. Anyways it was a fun trip. :)
