I've got the Blues

I recently found out about a guy named Glenn Kaiser. He became homeless at an early age, but he overcame that got saved and is now working in a homeless ministry for a church. He also, plays the blues and in some of his stuff he uses a cigar box guitar. I just picked up his new Cd called Cardboard Box. If you like blues then you will love this Cd. It was an instant favorite for me. If interested here is the website and you can also check him out on itunes.  http://grrrrecords.com/fr_cardboardbox.cfm

No Athiests in Hell

I decided to put the fun aside for today and write about something that is really giving my heart a ton of grief. When i look around at our country, our "Christian Nation," i get very depressed. We have fallen so far from what we used to be. We are no longer the beacon of hope to a dark world, we ourselves are just as dark. We as a nation have a form of godliness, but we deny the power thereof, as the Word puts it. Athiesm is on an all time high, while any mention of Jesus Christ on a public venue is censored. Christians, sadly, have chosen to just go with the flow while abandoning the radical way Jesus commanded us to live. I'm just as guilty as anyone. Its much easier just to go on with life and not worry about trying to turn the tide, but that isn't what we are called to do. Why should we care? Not only should we care because that's what we are commanded to do, but the fact that hell is real and people go there every single day. We in America have lost that knowledge. We have been lulled to sleep with everyone goes to heaven as long as they don't murder people. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Its time we get back to the Bible and see what it has to say. It doesn't matter what i believe or what you believe about an issue, its what does God think. God's opinion is all that matters one second after you take your last breath. Believe me all the former athiest in hell with they had one more second on this earth because now they are hopeless.

Living in the Boondocks

From my experience of living out here in the boondocks not much ever happens. Apart from the smell and the 20 mile rides to the grocery store its a pretty nice place to live. The other day something pretty unexpected happened. Amanda busts in the door at like six in the morning and she is freaking out. I thought by her reaction that someone was breaking in or something like that, so i was about to grab my gun. She informed me there was a opossum on the porch. I was like seriously, you wake me up for that. She begins calling everyone she knows and telling them about the beast that is laying on our porch. After much debate on the phone, while i try to go back to sleep, she concludes the thing has rabies. After seeing that Im not going to be able to get back to sleep until i do something to remove this animal, i finally get up. Opossum's are some of the most ugly animals i think i have ever seen. Nevertheless i grabbed the shovel and proceeded to remove the thing. Finally he woke up from where i laid him and returned to where he came from. Now maybe we can all sleep in peace now.

Drivers ED

My brother has finally reached the age to take the wonderful course called drivers ed. He like me, has hated every minute of it. When i was there i spent most of the time passing notes back and forth for people. We had assigned seats so me and jay were stuck between two love birds. Many things happened while we were there, such as a rich fat girl who had he butler bring in fresh sushi for lunch. There was another guy with a cheesy fro who couldn't stop playing with his pick comb. By far the best thing was the fact that the teacher said no profanity will be allowed or you will be kicked out. He must have said five curse words in his lecture. Yes what a hypocrite lol.

Interesting.....

I was driving through the country, in what i believe is still considered Goldsboro, and behind this trailer in the middle of a trailer park i see this....
I don't know about you, but i don't believe i want any part of what goes on here. I can see the belt buckles and leather cowboy hats already. Its kind of funny that its a Music hall, snack bar, game room and flea market all in one. A real one stop shop lol.

Update on Latest Finds

Last night around 9 pm I walked across these two species of frogs. The first one is either an adult pickerel frog or a leopard frog. The second is of a cricket frog. The cricket frog was really cool. I was pretty excited about the finds.

Tractor Show

My wife made me go to this tractor show a while back. I was dreading it and hoping she would forget all about it, but guess what? She didn't. I told her that Im not a redneck and there is no way that will be fun. Nevertheless we loaded up in the car and headed up to the show. It took us about forty-five minutes to get there. Once we arrived, my greatest fears were realized. Lol. Overalls and John Deere as far as the eye could see. Turns out i had more fun than my wife. Go figure, maybe Im more of a redneck than I think.... Anyways here is some pictures for the show.
I kept wanting to say, "Let's go John Boy"

Henry Ford would be proud.

Lol how lame.

Drive it like you stole it Cooter.
The engine is super quiet in this bad boy.

Has Seen Much Better Days.

Pretty Little Flowers

Below are some pictures of flowers I have seen either in the yard or out in the woods and i figured i would share them. Life is way to busy and i think people should slow down and enjoy nature. God created it for our enjoyment. A Few Random Finds From This Year

Here is a few random finds of animals other than snakes. This is just a few things i have seen or caught. This year has been the year for turtles. Ive probably seen at least twenty in recent days and Ive caught four or five, to take pictures of then release. Here are pictures of a few of them.

Im no expert on turtles, but i believe this may be a Yellowbelly Slider. I haven't studied turtles enough to know yet.
This little guy is a Spotted Turtle. I do know that for sure. :)

And another Yellowbelly Slider i think. They seem to be pretty popular around here.
Here is a couple bugs i took a picture of. I was just messing around with the camera and got these. First off is a lady bug, very RARE lol.

A Passalid Beetle, that seems to be missing some legs from battle or something, but amazingly he was still alive. The last picture is something from the ocean and i have no idea what its called, but it seemed like a good picture. Enjoy.

Poor Yellow Man

Well we woke up this morning and my wife went to turn on the lights to her dart frog cage and she noticed one of her frogs wasn't moving. We tried touching it but it still didn't even flinch. We really have no clue what happened. Maybe the others beat up on it, or it had some king of disease when we got it. Who knows. Anyways there goes thirty bucks...:(
